Our Purpose

We are an independent Baptist ministry that promotes and assists the local church movement in foreign countries. Our focus is to help project the Gospel into Muslim, Hindu, and Buddhist countries, but we consider assisting ministries wherever The Carpenter leads.

The Carpenter's Project assists in two ways:

First, we assist established ministries by providing building materials for constructing a place of worship. Before we commit to a project, we normally require the national congregation to obtain land and design a structure that best suits their locale. Once we provide funds for them to purchase materials, we expect the congregation to provide as much labor as possible during the construction process.

Secondly, in many countries in the 10/40 Window there simply are too few ministries planting churches. In those areas, we promote the spread of the Gospel by supporting national pastors as they begin a new church plant.
