Equipping Faithful Men

Nationals often lack the physical tools needed in their church planting ministries of evangelism, discipleship, and weekly church services.

The Carpenter’s Project assists the national missionary with tracts and Scriptures for personal evangelism as well as equipment for showing Gospel films during their evangelistic outreaches. We also provide motorbikes, generators, sound equipment, and other items to improve the pastor’s efficiency and the church’s weekly services.

Bibles & New Testaments:

In many unevangelized areas, few Christians own personal Bibles, and often only the pastor has one. Through the Timothy Project, we aim to provide every Christian family with at least one copy of the scriptures to support their spiritual growth. Bibles cost $8-12, and New Testaments $5-8. With just $120, we can supply a Bible to 10 families in a mission church.

Tracts & Discipleship Materials:

Timothy Project missionaries use culturally appropriate tracts to reach Animists, Buddhists, and Muslims. They also disciple new believers, who often struggle to leave old customs, but local-language discipleship materials are rare. Tracts cost $500 for 10,000 copies, and 500 discipleship books can be produced for $1,500.

Portable Solar Powered Gospel Video Backpacks:

Film evangelism is highly effective in rural areas, using films like The Jesus Film and The Hope to reach audiences in various settings. Our solar-powered backpacks, weighing just 22 pounds, contain a projector, player with preloaded local-language films, sound system, battery, and solar panel. Each complete backpack costs $1,900, equipping native evangelists to share the Gospel without needing electricity.

Transportation for Missionaries and Evangelists:

Having efficient transportation is a great help to pioneer church planters and evangelists. For missionaries in most places a motorbike best suits their needs. However, some missionaries cannot afford to purchase gas and maintain a motorbike. For them, a good mountain bike is best. The cost of a motor bike is $1200 and a bicycle is $300.

Text & Reference Books for Bible College Students:

We partner with nearly a dozen indigenous Bible institutes across the 10-40 Window, training over 1,000 young men and women for ministry. Graduates are actively pastoring and discipling in diverse language groups. There is a critical need for training materials for classroom study and sermon preparation. A set of text and reference books costs approximately $50 per student.
